Description
By Carol Sommer, Sue Downing and William Herbert. A 140m long stream of text on stainless steel. The text comes from Roman messages, texts from the time of King Charles I and from text messages collected in 2002 on the day of the Newcastle and Sunderland derby, translated into SMS text form. William Herbert has written a response refering to the Skinner Burn which flows under the street. Commissioned by Grainger Town Partnership and Newcastle City Council.
