          Description
              In garden of Working Men's Club. Granite statue of a soldier resting on his reversed riflr with his head bowed. The statue stands on a plinth with Greek key pattern and a panel with scrolls and cherubs below, within a walled area with iron railings. The dedication on the plinth reads: "ERECTED BY THE MEMBERS OF HETTON AND DISTRICT WORKING MENS CLUB IN MEMORY OF THEIR FELLOW MEMBERS WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 ALSO THOSE WHO FELL IN THE WORLD WAR".
