Description

A number of 'coale pitts' were being worked in 1620. Two (in vicinity of NZ 1795 6481) are linked to Lemington Staiths (HER 4036) by a water course (HER 11536). The other four are north of the staiths at Toak Close Hill (NZ 1829 6503).
