          Description
Ridge and furrow mapped from air photographs. The majority are thought to be narrow ridge and furrow of Post Medieval date, but a small amount could possibly be Medieval in date. Many of the remains lay west of the mineral railway from Heworth Colliery to a staith on the River Tyne. The remains have mostly been levelled or destroyed by building development. The only area of extant remains lies near Heworth Shore in playing fields at Tyne View Gardens at NZ 2911 6261.
