Building-stone, 12.5 x 8.5 inches, found by Horsley about 1716 in the side wall of a house at East Denton. Now in the Chapter Library, Durham". Inscribed: “ l(egionis) II Aug(ustae) / c(o)ho(rs) VIII / fec(it) "From the Second Legion Augusta the eighth cohort built this".
