Description
Well shown on Ordnance Survey first edition. Now a supermarket car park. A Russian cross was found in the well, believed to have belonged to Lady Beckwith of Silksworth House. She was a Catholic convert. The well could be medieval in date as the Chapel of St. Leonard was located here (HER 221).
