Description
Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition map of 1896. St Thomas’s Church and Parsonage was destroyed in March 1943 by bomb damage during an air raid. The bomb killed eight people and injured forty-three others. The site was subsequently redeveloped and opened as Joplings Department store in 1956.
