ENGLISH BRIG, 1856 Having set off at 3pm that day in clear fine conditions with wind strong at SSE force 6, her tug was unable to tow for want of power, the vessel was struck by a heavy sea, thrown against the pier at 4pm and became a total wreck. Built: 1837
