ENGLISH SCHOONER, 1857 After sailing from Arbroath on 11-MAR during a WSW gale, arrived off Sunderland and struck the Bar in crossing, in wind conditions SE x S force 6, drove behind the North Pier due to stress of weather and became a total loss at 8.45pm.
