Description
1824 wreck of English brig which caught fire and was beached on the Dortwick Sands at North Shields, while awaiting her departure from Shields for London. Laden with whalebone ivory, lead and charcoal, (the last blamed for the fire), she was a wooden sailing vessel, and was recovered and sold at Straker and Barras's Dock, South Shields, presumably to be broken up.
