Description
A possible Iron Age or Roman rectilinear enclosure with internal round is visible as a cropmark on historical air photos. The enclosure measures approximately 85x83m, though the most of the western side is not visible. It has very rounded corners. The round house ring ditch is approximately 16m in diameter. These features are located in a field that lies adjacent to the A1 and Fisher Lane interchange and it is not certain how the road works and subsequently activity in this area will have impacted on them.
