Description
The Victoria Hall was located on Toward Road. The site is now occupied by an office block constructed in the 1960s after the hall was damaged during an air raid in World War II. On the 16th June 1883, 183 children died at the Victoria Hall at the end of a concert after a stampede ensued following an announcement that children with certain numbered tickets would be given a prize when they left the hall.
