Description:
Beamish Staiths were possibly originally a terminus of the Beamish Wagonway (HER ref. 2562). On the 1st edition Ordnance Survey plan the staiths seem to be connected to the Fatfield Wagonway (HER ref. 3018), but this is not clear.
