Description
A stone figure and the head of another were found together below the surface of Melbourne Street in January 1932 while cables were being laid. The figure represents a warrior, 3/4 inch in length armed with sword and shield. It wears a hood and pointed beard. It is mounted on a length of coping, no doubt from a parapet of one of the turrets of the town wall.
