Description
The Side, Anglo-Saxon bead
Fragment of C7 Anglo-Saxon bead, in good condition, some slight dull whitish weathering. Col. Spain, who had charge of the exhibit, described it as of vitreous red brown paste with yellow paste designs. ½ inch x ¾ inch x 5/8 inch x 3/8 inch. Found in 1929 during excavations by NEEC at the top of Dog Leap Stairs.
