Memorial 1860 by John Norven of Swalwell to commemorate John English, mason.
Sandstone. Rusticated square plinth to pedestal and bust of John English.
Historical note: English was renowned for his strength.
Resited beside the house he built by Tyne and Wear CC from its original position
