Description

Aircraft obstructions in the grounds of Heaton Manor School and Cochrane Park Sports Ground, mapped from wartime air photography. The earthworks lie south-west of a Barrage Balloon Centre at RAF Longbenton (HER 5673). Ditches with lines of adjacent upcast spoil. Mostly levelled now.
