Description

ENGLISH SLOOP, 1858. Left Grangemouth on 05-JAN at 1pm in fine weather conditions, but encountered snow and heavy seas two days later, when the wind increased to force 7 from the NNE. She rolled so heavily she developed a severe leak, and was run ashore at 9am in order to save the crew.
