Grainger Park Road, The White House, Mosque

Theme: Salafi Used the 19th century villa The White House. This was demolished in 2011. Planning permission granted for a new building. Erection of 3-storey community building: comprising gym and function room at basement level; café and Muslim prayer hall at ground floor; meeting/teaching rooms and mezzanine prayer hall at first floor; and, meeting/teaching rooms at second floor; erection of 2-storey outbuilding into funeral wash, kitchen and residential accommodation for visitors. Building work started in Spring 2011. Architect was Henry Amos of Brightblue Studio, Clifford's Fort, North Shields.
