Description

Farm shown on the First Edition Ordnance Survey plan 1857 but not labelled until the Second Edition of 1895. A building is shown in this location (but unnamed) on an enclosure plan of Blackburn Fell (nd). A farmhouse set back from the road side and a long range of farm buildings. The farm may have had a gingang on the northern face of the range - this was gone by 1895.
