Description
Following a mission being opened in 1874, this community was originally based on a room in Somerset Street. A schoolroom was built in 1878, followed by the church in 1885, at a cost of £2,200; it was a gable-fronted edifice in the Gothic style, of brick with stone dressings which seated 540. It closed in 1975 and has been demolished.
