Description
Four pear shaped corn-drying kilns. One of the kilns had a dry-stone lining and two were associated with postholes and stake holes which would have been used to support wattle and daub structures. The remains of barley, wheat and oat were obtained from environmental samples taken from the kilns. Within the backfill of the kilns, pottery of 12th- to 13th- century date was also recovered.
