Structure


A reinforced concrete bridge of c1913 spanning Willington Dene. The only early ferro-concrete bridge in the County. Listed building consent was granted for its demolition in 2007. Bridge demolished in 2008. New one built 2009. TWM Archaeology recorded the bridge before demolition. Former listing description: Bridge. Circa 1913. Reinforced concrete. 5 trestles and curved abutments support road deck. 7 pairs of piers with low pyramidal coping support spike-headed iron parapet railing.
