Description
Nos 1 to 23 (odd) were built as Ogle Terrace on land belonging to Rev. J.S. Ogle. The westermost house was built in 1816 and the complete terrace is shown on Wood’s 1827 map of South Shields. No. 23 is rendered and has a slate roof. It has two storeys above a semi-basement. The entrance, approached by flight of steps, is framed by a later 18th century doorcase with straight entablature.
