Description
Possible circular enclosure seen on Tyne and Wear County Council aerial photograph no. 890 by Roger Miket. Later photographs seem to show a pond or area of standing water with two drains at this location. Probably not an antiquity but a natural feature. This could be the site of the Sunderland and South Shields Racecourse 1897-c.1915.
