Description

Slit trenches seen and mapped from air photographs. Seen as crop and soil marks beneath the position of a former gun-laying mat (HER 5499). At least two lines of trenches were seen, lying at right angles. One line of castellated appearance ran for 230m east-west. The other of chevron appearance ran north-east to south-west for just over 100.
