          Description
              Built in the beginning of the 19th century. Rebuilt in 1878. By the 1960s the building was in a dangerous condition. Charrington's sought planning permission to remove the two top floors and add a corrugated asbestos roof. Permission was not granted. The Anchor closed in 1967.
