Westgate Road, Hospital of St. Mary the Virgin, gravestone 5
Intact incised slab. Elegant cross-head with naturalistic leaves as terminals and inturned between arms. Stepped base looks to have been recut and an emblem (pastoral staff?) left of the shafty has largely been tooled away; indications of reuse. Discovered September 1890.
