This private pool was built beside Gosforth Racecourse in 1933 as part of a Scout Camp. It was described as a 'perfect paradise for boys'. Infilled in the 1970s.

St. Peter's Glass Houses shown on the Byker Tithe Plan (1845) owned and occupied by William Richardson and Co. Not seperately labelled on the OS plans. Demolished between 1858-1898 along with adjacent Byker Bottle Works (HER 4173).

The Anglo-Swedish Works (Electric Welding) was opened in May 1912. The works were restructured several times the latest reorganisation took place in the 1970s. The area was cleared in the 1980s but one of the more recent buildings (1940s?) survived until 2011.

During a watching brief in 2015 three tanning pits were revealed just south of Stepney Tannery (HER 5455). Two were relatively complete. The pits consisted of a rectangular foundation trench with a bed of puddled clay c.0.5-0.5m thick on top. The timber linings of the pits were then set on this bed. The linings consisted of tongue-in-groove planking laid horizontally. The butting corners of the pits were fixed together with flat shanked iron nails. Pit 1 was not fully excavated but was probably c.2.35m square with a minimum depth of 1.44m. Pit 2 was also nearly square (2.35-2.4m). The dimensions of pit 3 are unknown other than a minimum depth of c.1.4m. The gap between the foundation trench and the lining was packed with clay forming a water tight seal. At least along the west face of Pit 1 and possibly in pit 2 was a brick floor.

Features associated with the landscaped annexe to Whitburn Hall gardens, created when the land was annexed from the Rector's garden in the second half of the 19th century. Includes a line of six c.5m high ashlar pillars made from local stone, running N-S from c.10m north of the tithe barn remains (HER 881).
