Description
Beacon Lough farm is shown on Bell's map of 1835 and on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map as three ranges of buildings arranged around a courtyard open to the east, with a gingang on the exterior of the north range. Another large building appearing on later maps as a house is shown to the southeast, and to the south of this, a walled garden (HER19153). Further buildings were added in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The walled garden and the presence of a tree mound (HER19151) in a field to the southeast suggest a grander establishment than a working farm.
The farm survived until the mid 20th century but was demolished for the construction of Beacon Lough East Estate (HER9756) in the 1960s.

Description
This brick wall forms a boundary along the eastern edge of the Tyne Plate Glass Works (the successor to Swineburne's Glass Works HER2340), and was probably built as part of the eastwards expansion of the glass works in the late 19th century. It incorporates the remnant facade of Staith House (HER5677).
The centre part of the wall was the facade of Staith House, with two adjoining sections of boundary wall, and to the north and south of these two curving end sections rebuilt in the 1980s. The outward (east) face onto Mill Dam is more ornate with panels divided by brick piers and with a dentil course, whilst the inward (west) face is plain.

Description
This building was found during archaeological investigations in 2022 prior to the redevelopment of the site (report 2024/24). It was constructed from sandstone and one room contained a chimney and fireplace with a base lined with flagstones. This was overlain by a black ash deposit containing degraded coins, metalwork and a fragment of woven fabric. A pair of tongs and a grate were recovered nearby. An area of sandstone slab floor surface had pieces of corroded iron stuck to it, suggesting industrial activity. A nautilus shell was found in the overlying demolition deposits.
